Well the old shop vac done a ok job at drawing the dust out of the machines but it was lacking some power when the bag started to fill up plus I had to clean the filter after an hour of sanding.

So I decided to go out and get a good dust collection system.

It has a 1 horse motor and with the 4" hose it will suck an apple through a tennis racket:d

It draws 914 cubic feet of air per minute with the added bonus of being quiter than the shop vac.

I will still use the resperator tho but should have a lot less mess to clean up.

Cool, now you have a reason to use more of the dangerous types of woods. :-) Some of that stuff is downright nasty.

    Bob.

I know some of the woods I have used made me itch like crazy almost as bad as fiberglass dust.

I will add the bag filters down to 35 micron which is about 1/2 the thickness of a human hair.

But I think I will end up getting a 5 micron bag for it.:d

Who's next in line for a Build-a-long to test out the new vac?

    ...anxiously awaiting.

    Steve.

Yep it's the one, the last one they had, not bad for $100:d

I have seen others well over the 300 mark and they dont draw the same amount of air this one does.
