Well the old shop vac done a ok job at drawing the dust out of the machines but it was lacking some power when the bag started to fill up plus I had to clean the filter after an hour of sanding. So I decided to go out and get a good dust collection system. It has a 1 horse motor and with the 4" hose it will suck an apple through a tennis racket:d It draws 914 cubic feet of air per minute with the added bonus of being quiter than the shop vac. I will still use the resperator tho but should have a lot less mess to clean up.
Cool, now you have a reason to use more of the dangerous types of woods. :-) Some of that stuff is downright nasty.
Is that the one you were looking at when I was talking on the phone with ya? Should be a big help Russel!!
Bob. I know some of the woods I have used made me itch like crazy almost as bad as fiberglass dust. I will add the bag filters down to 35 micron which is about 1/2 the thickness of a human hair. But I think I will end up getting a 5 micron bag for it.:d
Steve. Yep it's the one, the last one they had, not bad for $100:d I have seen others well over the 300 mark and they dont draw the same amount of air this one does.
Awesome deal there Russ, good for your health as well, it'll keep all that dust out of your beer drip!
