Now that I'm officially on my summer vacation, I thought I would take a little time to setup my "new" bow, and get a little shooting time in. Thanks to Ben's monkey arms, I scored this barely used 2010 Optifade Forest Sentinel. I had been toying with the idea of getting one for this season, and since Ben needed to offload his, I decided I would jump on it. I slapped my LD on it, tied in a peep, Sword Apex 3rd plane, added a few odds and ends, and went out to shoot a bit. The bow holds VERY well side to side. I have very little lateral movement of my pin at full draw, and I'm not even that good of an archer:D I dialed in my 20yd pin, and will begin walk-back/group tuning most likely tomorrow. Overall, I'm very impressed. The bow is quite, draw cycle isn't AS smooth as my Marquis, but WAY nicer than my 101st airborne. There isn't that big drop in and out of the valley. Oh, did I mention the camo? It's a looker Here's a few shots of it setup.
That camo is sexy! I had to double take at the bow, I didn't realize it was a LH at first, thought your sight was mounted on the wrong side lol
I miss already. Too bad she's just too short to shoot for me. Glad you were the one to get her. Good luck with her bud.
I longingly held a few Sentinels in the Optifade pattern in our booth at the ATA show... I thought that bow and the Destroyer 340 in BlackOps are the two best-looking bows in the 2010 lineup. Congrats on a beautiful bow.
Funny, those were my two bows this year.....exactly. Now it's the D340 and a SE Swat, that will get new strings to be blacked out.
