I going to buy a new safety harness and can't decide between the hunter safety system or the muddy harness. Does anyone who has these have any problems or dislikes about them? Right now I'm use a cheap vest style from a department store. Thanks for any help.
This has been discussed multiple times so I bet you would find many threads with this exact question by searching. Basically the consensus is that you can't go wrong with either one. The muddy tends to be lighter (weight), and cooler (temp). The HSS is a little bit more of a household name. I personally have the HSS pro series and have no beefs with it. When I buy my next harness I will look strongly at the Muddy. You really need to pick each up if possible and decide for yourself. You can't go wrong either way.
I went with the Muddy, I didn't want another "layer." I have played with HSS before and it's not a bad system, I just like the Muddy better, I hardly know it's there.
I spent 175 hours in mine this year and it shows no wear.....literally. It looks like the same day I bought it.
I have the Muddy and love it. I picked it over the HSS for the reasons already mentioned. Also I have nearly 100 hours of wear on mine in stand and still looks like it came out of the box. I highly recommend it.
i ended up going with the pro HS harness...just got it..and love it so far..have only used it once..but takes two seconds to put on ....easy access is what i was going for
