With all the talk about trucks lately... i figured iwould post on my newest venture. Sadly to say i traded in my 2014 tacoma for a larger pickup. I loved my taco, it would go anywhere i wanted it to. However the hauling capacity and overall size of truck was just not enough. I wish i could of kept it. So after much debate and research i couldn't break away from the toyotas. I chose the 2017 tundra SR5 Offroad. The MPG is great for the size of the truck. It will tow up to 9900lbs and go anywhere the taco would. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
Super nice! I'm debating trading in my 2011 for a 2017. May wait till next year. Really like my Tundra. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Yea it wins most reliable pickup year after year. It's more American made than any other half ton. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I get it. My dad and uncle gave me a ton of crap over it. I drove F150's, a F250, and a Silverado all my life. It was hard for me to pull the trigger on mine but once I did I haven't looked back. To each his own I guess Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
There is no such thing as "Made in America" when it comes to large ticket items like automobiles. We live in a global economy and it becomes more evident the larger the the item you are purchasing. Just because final assembly or a corporate headquarters is located in a certain geographical area means nothing when the various individual parts are made, and sourced all over the world. Congratulations on the new truck. I'm sure it will give you many years of service and look good doing it. I've never heard any Toyota owner complain about the quality of their vehicle. However, a dead buck in the bed will improve the looks of any truck. Sent from my VS500 using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Better on longevity than ram/dodge Ford or Chevy. I'm due to buy a truck but I need bigger. If needed a half ton Toyota would be hands down my pick
Yup. It's pretty close to the F150 but the toyotas engine is 100% made here and the ford has some Canadian components. The steel for the Tundra frames comes from the mill in Granite City IL right by my house https://www.edmunds.com/car-reviews/top-10/top-10-most-american-trucks-for-2015.html Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I traded in my avalanche for the sr5 TRD and the difference is night/day while towing. Toyota knows how to make a good truck. Had an original sr5 back in the day and it never had any problems. Sold it to a Saudi guy how said the toyos are the only trucks that survive the intensity of the sand back home. Always knew I wanted another one but there very expensive...doubt I'll ever look back now. Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk
