I'll go against the grain and say save your $ and keep your wb and get it set up correctly. I recently set one up on my Ally...and it is shooting awesome. I know alot of guys that shoot them, and most everyone that gets them set up correctly, loves them and has no issues.

    Here is what I did:

2008 Ally, 29" shooting 65#. 340 Beman ICS Hunters, 28.5" long with 2" Blazers. On setup I eyeballed the center and leveled my nock. Shot it some last week....seemed decent out of the gate, but I knew I had to fine tune it. I began with a paper tune at 6'. Was getting high right tears, approx 2" long. Adjusted my nock a tad and rest (left) slightly, and after a few shots was getting bullet holes out to 12'. I decided for kicks to bareshaft through paper. It shot pretty much a perfect hole, teeny bit nock high - so I left it be. (my nockset was about 1/8" - 3/16" high).

Shooting at a distance again, I immediately I knew it was flying much better than my initial setup, groups were pretty tight. I shot a bare shaft too - it grouped right with my fletched shafts at 10/15/20...so I decided to walkback tune. It was floating down to the left like this "/" at 20/30/40 progressively worse to about 8" left at 40. I bumped my rest in (right) about 1/32", and bingo. Got a straight line at 20/30/40.

Threw a couple broadheads on (Slick Trick 125's) to test out. They flew beautifully, and right with my field points! :)

Below was my last group (all I had was 4 arrows). Two on the left are FP's (top one is a bare shaft) two on the right are BH's. This was at 23yds. I am shooting an HHA, haven't fine tuned my sight tape yet....but dang was I happy. :D

This setup tuned really easy. I've shot about 250 arrows total through my WB, and the biscuit still looks brand new. I read so much about how they suck, are junk, blah blah...after 50 shots the biscuit was falling apart, yada yada. Well, all I can tell you is I am happy and haven't had any of those tuning or wear issues, and my blazer vanes are perfect also. As a side note, I am shooting the Black ICS Hunters because they are 100% dead quiet on the biscuit. I tried an Axis Nano...very loud in comparison when I drew.

I am not a tuning guru...which means you can do this too. pm me if you need more info or help.

    Mike

Mike, thanks for the input. The whisker biscuit is a great rest, and I am not doubting/complaining about the performance of it. Matter of fact I absolutely love it. My bow was tuned with it, and I have been dead on with FP's and BH's. My only complaint is that after quite a few practice shots, it really tears up my fletching. On one of the arrows a vane actually has a chunk missing. I still have yet to figure that one out as I am always good about keeping my equipment in check.

I am going to be keeping the WB for this season. I don't want to change it out so close to the season and then have to retune the bow. I would much rather have that extra confidence in my shot knowing I can put it on with the rest I currently have. With that being said, I am going today to get new arrows to use in the field only, and my current arrows will be for practice. Once again, thanks for the reply's!

Chips...what type of fletching do you have that it can be tearing them up like that?
Most use short stiff fletchings with great success (again, assuming it is tuned properly). 2" Blazers, Fusions, Predators, etc.

install your own rest. if the bow is tune properly with the WB, Measure from your riser shelf to the base of the arrow then from the riser wall to the inside of the arrow. put on the hostage, and match the measurements up. fast easy and accurate.

When i recieved my new bow, the first thing i did was remove the wisker biscut. I was leaning towards a rip cord since everyone around here has them, they are nice. some people are also having problems with the lastest batch of them not falling. I went with a QAD ultra rest LD wich was easy to set up, and i'm new to bow hunting!

Oh and a tiny drop of superglue on the front of the vane base will end the feathers tearing off..

Well, on Saturday I had 2" Blazers put on. Already have about 100 shots on one and nothing wrong with the vanes. I originally had 3" Duravanes, which were far more "flimsy" than these Blazers. Looks like I am keeping the WB for sure this year. I will, however, put a drop away on next spring. Thanks for the tips and info guys/gals, it's appreciated.
