Hi guys, been lurking for awhile and decided to post. I'm looking for a new release aid for hunting. I've used a tru-fire caliper style buckle and liked it, but looking at some others as mine is broken. If anyone has a personal preference and can shed some light on the differences I would appreciate it. Thanks very much

First off, welcome to the forum!
I also use a Tru-Fire caliber style w/buckle. I do like it, but the trigger is not nearly as sensitive as my older Nexus (I believe) release. The reason I switched is because A) the buckle gets me to the exact fit every time... and B) my old release had a velcro wrist strap that was noisy as hell. However, I shot a friends True-Fire T-release a couple of weeks back and was very impressed with it. I believe it was the "Hunter" model. It has hair thumb-trigger and felt very natural in my hand. It's likely what I'll be shooting after this season ends. The only draw-back I can see is that it's going to take a little time to get used to shooting a T-release. Also, not having a release strapped to my wrist is a foreign concept to me. Loosing track or accidentally dropping it from the stand would really suck.

I use a TRU Pro Diamond and attach it to my D loop when in the stand. I carry a spare in case I drop it. I switched because I did not like the strap style release flopping around when I reach for binos, rangefinder, etc.

I just ordered the Tru-Fire Edge 4 finger release. This will be my first finger release but I am excited to give it a try. I am hoping in a very short time I can get comfortable with it to use this season. Should arrive in the mail thursday!
