I'm in the market for a new range finder and I am looking to understand the difference between the golf ones and the ones for archary? I noticed a brand or two made for hunting say they comp. for treestand height, is that the only difference?

The comp. rangefinders do compensate for the angle of your shot, but you're gonna pay for that option. I use a standard range finder and have had no problem out to 50yds., which is my max.

It's not like your gonna take 100+ yard shots with a bow anyways. And I hunt rifle once in a blue moon. If I don't use my bow, it's the shotgun next out.....
