Anyone shot these out to 40 yards? ****s has them at 30 bucks for 2. No practice head or anything. I've never shot rage so I'm reluctant to bite without some kind of practical review. Looks like a handful of sharp objects, and my 6 year old thinks they will slay dragons. I think they will raise my dad cool points quite a bit.

I suppose you could but you have to take your set up into consideration. You need a lot of KE to give the head a chance to work properly.

Ive used the whitetail specials for a few years. Never had them hang up in deer. I'm running about 63lbs at 29.5in draw, so nothing spectacular, but I'm thinking it should be enough Hp. The main reason I wanna try is the larger entrance wound and the correct opening design. But nothing is worth sacrificing accuracy.

Look at the Muzzy hybrid, no blade retention clips or o rings lots of cutting surface with 4 blades. Many states have laws against blades longer than 2"

That’s good. The first step is admitting it.

I really prefer 2 holes in a deer I will settle for 2 -2" holes instead of 1 -2.3" hole. I am a former Rage user/defender I always thought that if you are going to use a mechanical you want an arrow at least 450 grains preferably closer to 475 and up. The Rage Titanium was probably my favorite. The muzzy trocar with no blade retention is a fool proof design and they are devastating.
