I found over 30 rubs in different spots and about 25 scrapes today. I joined a huge hunt club this spring with about 10K acrs and this was my first trip hunting today. I saw tons of sign but saw no deer..it's only a matter of time I feel before I get on em. I got pulled into hunting a bean field, which I hate doing to be honest with you, but the rubs and tracks were there, just not the deer. I knew that it would be either a pile of em coming in or a lonely sit, it was the latter. I found some better sign deeper in the woods and swamps and I believe that hunting the beans is not what I should be doing. But I will return next Sat, until then I will hunt another new 1500 acrs I got this summer, no fields here, just swamps, cutover and river.. Im really excited about this season guys. I have been seeing deer for the most part and the weather is getting better!

If your beans are browning thats probably why, they may have took to the altrenate food source. But it sounds like you are on to a great spot, I hope you take a slammer out of there Landon ;)

bloodcrick, the beans are in that yellowish green stage and I don't think they are what the deer want. I think they the beans need to turn completely brown and dry before they come to em again..what do you say?
