Got a new piece of property to hunt so i decided i would do a walk and clib a tree this evening, I set up about 80 yards from the corner of a cut and disked field, fully not expecting to see anything.
Right around 5:45 i see movement coming across the field, and before i had time to stand up, there is a 130+ class 8 walking into the woodline.
He stayed right around 50 yards and moseys on his merry way.
Then a coupla does same idea, 50 yards.
I hit the rattle bag and a few more came it. i was thinking "Damn this is unreal i like this place"
All tolled 9 deer in about an hour, the last one being a button buck that i thought was a doe that wandered in to about 9 yards. Needless to say there will be backstraps for dinner tomorrow, and i was real careful about gettin him out. Back to hunt that buck maybe later this week

Awesome, that must be a great feeling, knowing that there are a lot of deer in that spot.

Congrats! Didn't take long. Looking forward to see what kind of buck you can put down on it now!
