I paid $450 for just the gun, but I bought 270 9mm rounds with it. Total was like $540 or something like that. Pretty solid gun for that price I thought. The XDS was $600, and since it was too small for my hands it was a no brainer for me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2
Hey Cole, I have the same one in .40. I love it for a carry gun. I have an uncle Mike's "holster". It's actually extremely basic and tiny. I wear it all the time with it. It's cheap and easy.
"The Master's Holster" hand-stitched black leather, ambidextrous, low ride open bottom IWB. Strong spring belt clip. My "baby Glock" series fits everything up to a G19 comfortably, and actually fits most (if not all) double stack compact/sub-compact semi autos like a glove. Just looking at your MP I'd say no problem. I wear mine with shorts and a t-shirt all the time, and unless you're really looking you'd never know (and I like my t shirts tight.) I picked mine up for about $30 over 9 years ago. I wear it almost every day and it looks barely used. They're hard to find but they are out there.
finally found a website that carries the whole line: JBP Holsters / Holsterama Home Page and my holster specifically: Leather Inside the Waist Band (IWB) Concealment Holster I found mine at a gun store in Indiana. My model is retailing for $60 now. However, it is the best dang holster I've ever owned. The leather and stitching quality kicks the crap out of DeSantis. I'm not a Glock fan, they just look weird to me and the grips feel weird. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2
Why should he have gotten the Glock? I know I own a Glock 17 and looked at the Glock 26 and 27 and they are not very comfortable in the hand compared to the Smith and Wesson or the Springfield XDS and it has no frame rail like them either if one wanted to attach a compact laser. IMO opinion Cole picked a great gun that is comfortable in the hand that shoots well, what more could you ask for?
While they are all great guns, the Glock Gen 4 does have adjustable grips and a frame rail. It comes with the stock grip (my favorite) plus two seperate inserts that change grip feel. I liked the Shield, but there was just more stuff available for the Glock to play with plus I knew I could get hi cap magazines, and I got a smoking deal on a limited edition in Flat Dark Earth color so I went with it. It's really a Chevy vs. Ford thing IMHO.
Don't get me wrong, I love my gen 4 G17 and have a laser and multiple 17 and 33 round mags but my new XDS is more compact as is the shield from what the G26 was.
Yeah, Glocks have a great reputation, they just aren't for me. I got the Shield strictly as a carry gun, as its small enough to conceal but the grip is still comfortable for my big hands. I don't need a high capacity magazine for this gun since I already have a Para Ordnance 14-45. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2
I have both the Shield and the Bodyguard. There is no comparison between the two in regards to any function. That's a good thing. The .380 is what it is. Meaning it's designed to do exactly what its intended purpose is for. I found a spot in my Chevy to hide mine but that wouldn't be a good spot if everyone knew about it.
