    Looks like 8 ;-)

Looks like "Crabby" needs to be mounted on your wall. Best of luck!

Thank you both, it was a surprise to see him on camera. I just need to figure out what I'm doing wrong that's causing my bucks to be nocturnal

Its probably not you. Find his bed and eventually you will see him in day light come the first week of Nov or last of Oct. He's gotta follow his instinct. He did not get that old being a day walker. Go get him

That's the problem. I only have permission to about 3 acres, it's a hardwood funnel that runs along the north side of a 50 acre bean field - unless they're taking a quick nap, I don't think there are any deer bedding on my property. Drivingtacks - I hope that's the case, I would love to have this buck on my wall

Is it possible that this is the same deer??? I did a comparison but I can't seem upload it from my school computer.

Look closely at the G3 on his left beam - it's shorter and maybe turned into the claw. The right main beam curves up sharply. G2's are tilted in

If it's the same buck then he did A LOT of growing from last year to this year. Good luck with him bud!

Only advice I have for daylight harvest is find some white oak trees with acorns falling. Hunt that early season...that'll be his only attractant this time of year to come out before daylight. If he doesn't show then use your funnel to your advantage and hunt it hard in rut! I'm sure he'll be through there then! Good luck

I would start by getting pictures of him from this year like Matt/TN has. At least then you aren't a whole year behind his schedule lol :tu:

First big cold front to hit near the end of October be in the woods. The biggest bucks I have seen have showed themselves in the morning then. Scent checking for hot does. I learned this lesson last year.
