Hey guys, I know that alot of you are against buying used bows since you dont know the history behind it. But for those of you who are, how do you feel about buying used rangefinders, accupins, silencers, etc. Do you simply buy it all new just to be safe? or are there things you buy new so that youre guaranteed to be the one who messes it up?

I would look at archerytalk.com if you plan on going the used route. So far off of there I have bought a rest, a dozen arrows, broadheads and trail cameras. I have had great results and got great deals on all of them. Bows are bought and sold on there all the time, I think if you do your homework and it is a trusted buyer then you can do okay.

Well im planning on buying a new bow, but I didnt see any reason not to buy a used sight or some other things. Just wondering what some people's opinions were.

Thanks though, I will visit that site

I bought a used bow off AT and would do it again. There is a risk but I feel slight, good luck

You can find some good deals online. Im not saying you will get ripped off or not be happy with your stuff. I bought my first ultrarest HD on AT a couple years ago... Buying used stuff isnt always bad but just think about it, the feeling of putting some arrows thru a brand spankin new bow and accessories is hard to beat

Alot of people like to decorate parts of their bows with greens and pinks, how does this affect hunting? I would think the neon green or pink on the bow would standout?

Lol thats entirely up to you. As far as the greens and pinks, as far as we know deer cant see that bright of colors, it just appears a light gray. It does stand out to the human eye, youre right, but thats exactly why those colors are used. I have pink D loops on both of my bows as well as an anodized peep sight and pink peep serving. Some people make fun of me but even in the dark i can see my loop and peep without a problem. And i think it does actually look pretty cool too.

I feel that most bows are treated with tender loving care

I see nothing wrong with buying a used bow. To be honest with ya, I have owned 3 bows in my life and all have been used. Never had any problems with them. Like FearNot said, I believe that most bows are treated with tlc.
