No, I don't use cameras that way. I use them for field surveys for population, gender and traffic flow. I generally set cameras up in areas where I can tell traffic is limited in directions. This camera is set up on a fence line with one straight shot south and a three way branch on the north side, two directions of which dead end at neighbors houses within 1/4 mile so they are not traveled heavily. The third direction leads to food so by noting the times of movement on the cams, I can deduct the patterns of those deer anyway. Food north, bedding south, moving through back to bedding at 5am one way on camera, he's probably coming into the field from CRP east off camera and making a circle going back before daylight and checking his scrapes and rubs on the way back before bedding. Result is to avoid the field early morning and set up entering from the other side of the property to intersect his travel south of this camera about 8am between food and bedding.

Trying to set up more cameras would probably just agitate him and I don't want to risk it given the circumstances.

Yeah, I have a secret, I'll share...I've been doing genetic experiments crossing angus and whitetail genetics. This is the result, I like to call them Bovinus Sweetusdeerus, "BS" for short.
