I'm bored in some crappy hotel in some crappy town in NE Louisiana. So because of this, I'll post some new music for your listening pleasure. The Black Keys - She's Long Gone While The Black Keys has long been one of my favorite bands, the recently released album "Brothers" is not one of their better efforts. If you like the above song, I suggest you check out their better albums Rubber Factory and Thickfreakness. The National - Afraid of Everyone Another one of my all time favorite bands, The National just released a solid album called "High Violet". If you like the sound of the above song, I highly suggest their albums Alligator and Boxer as well. A few other goodies: Deer Tick - Easy Bon Iver - Blood Bank
If I listened to that all the time, I would murder everyone around me. Mellow, dude, meeeelllow.... Beach House - Zebra Washed Out - Feel It All Around
I wish I had back the 5 minutes of my life i spent sampling that music. lol Guess I'm a mainstream wannabe, but if I ain't heard it on the radio, it's probably for a good reason imo. lmao
Everytime I hear the August and Everything After alblum it brings a smile to my face. That came out my sophmore year of high school. One of the best years of my life. <sappy story over>
Some of you guys taste in music is sick. Buck Magnet...that guy sing'en or a grizzly bear eaten him alive.
I missed the memo growing up where music on the radio was "bad" and the "good" music was the underground stuff that nobody ever heard....lol Its not on the radio for a reason
Y'all have never heard of The Black Keys? Seriously? They are all over the radio... And The National just played on Leno. They are hardly unknown bands.
I've been a fan of Black Keys since their album ThickFreakness came out... this is one of my favorites from them, thick heavy and filthy dirty delta blues style tune... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=653PLUXWQuA
The Black Keys are pretty good stuff. Far from my favorite but I do listen to them. Them Crooked Vultures have my ears at the moment. Hard to not listen when John Paul Jones is laying it down on the bass and Josh Homme as lead. Dave Grohl rocking the drums isn't bad either. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M89qz4aWbBo
Hook, I haven't always been a fan of the music you've posted, but that Black Keys wasn't half bad. Gotta love music threads. Everyone thinks what they listen to is the best and other stuff sucks! :D And for the record, I can't stand FM radio.
short of the grateful dead, I pretty much like most music to a degree, some I like more, but its rare that I truly 'dislike' anything in particular...
Daaaaay-um, Buck Magnet.... I mean... daaaaay-um!!!! Easy does it... It's going to be okay... Perhaps some Pink Floyd might help: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JWnapx502uQ The soaring guitar solo from David Gilmour will sooth all troubles in life and make you feel "comfortably numb"...
i like the more recent version from Live at Gdansk a bit better... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D1JoN5up0B0&feature=related another excellent solo from this performance http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2yOVTF5gTXM
Come on now.... we don't have any Killswitch fans here??? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ziuyK8NtDc http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YJdpY0cAbuA
