With gas the way it is the 2hr drive to the potomac isn't gonna work anymore. So I broke down and bought a brand new electric motor for three local electric only lakes. For the past 5 or so years I've always enjoyed fishing these reservoirs more any how.

Motor is a 48v torqeedo I got a lot of the installation done today after work gonna finish her up tomorrow! Here are some pics!

Liberty, Prettyboy and Loch Raven. Was out on the Prettyboy yesterday and it was slow and cold. How did you do?

Prettyboy has been slow for me so far only reservoir I've been out on so far this year first trip out I caught a 4lber couple days later I had a tourney and only caught 2, but it was a #3 and #2 lber ...which was good enough for 4th really says how slow it was that day. Got a tourney at liberty in a couple hours than PB and liberty again on Sunday maybe lib both days I hear that place is still on fire!

I've never seen one of those! How much faster is that than a powerful trolling motor?

I haven't seen those before either. I have a few lakes around me that I enjoy shore fishing from because you can't have gas motors on them. Might have to look into one of these!

I have never seen one of those either! How does it perform? What speed can you get up to? That is really cool. Great job.

It is a lot faster then say a 50 lb thrust tm ...it should push my boat at 6.5 - 7 mph full throttle but the best part is its efficiency I can go anywhere I want on any of the reservoirs never change batterys or worry about not making it back

Here's todays biggest hopefully good enough for lunker.

Dang... I used to bow hunt Liberty and Prettyboy and knew they were battery operated only on the water.... but I never realized they made things like this. LOL I lived about as close as you can get to the Carroll County/ Howard County line for 25 years.

Have you run it through any weeds yet? Curious how it performs and the battery life in weedy conditions.

I'm not sure ill be taking it out weds for the maiden voyage. But for what its worth I have the weedless prop.

David that's Awsome you kill much while hunting the reservoirs? Ive dropped 2 at Prettyboy ...a 124 in 8 point and a doe.
