I am looking to buy a new coat and maybe bibs or pants, for the mid to late whitetail season this year. I live in western mass and it gets pretty cold. by the time the end of bow season comes and december rolls in it can be pretty bad sitting in a stand all day. I am tired of tons of layers. I really like Sitka gear but its a bit out of my price range. What would people recommend for a jacket and pants for the cold weather. wool? under armour? give me your imputs on warmth and scent please. looking in the 200 to 250 price range for a coat.

    thanks

I bought the Under Armour Ridge Reaper suit two years ago and have been very happy with it!! Very warm with scent control and water repellant!

My camo is a bit of a hodge podge, but what I have found to be the most helpful is my base and mid layer. I got the under armour 3.0 and 4.0 baselayers for late season. Couple that with a wind proof sweatshirt and some kind of waterproof outer layer, that gets me through most of my mid-late season needs. I got a Cabela's jacket that I like for late season, but it's a bit bulky. From my experience Under Armour makes some really nice stuff, especially if you can find it on clearance anyplace.
