Guys- I've drawn an Elk tag in 36, first time I'll hunt there. I'll do some scouting next month and begin to get my bearings, but does anyone from New Mexico on the forum know anything about the Ft. Stanton hunt area? Is it worth my time scouting it?
It's a good unit. Never hunted it but plenty of good elk! I've hunted 37 just north of 36. Message me and I might be able to give you some places to at least start.
