Hey everyone- Hank had a post about the deer he shot and a new member LEEBOW mentioned shooting a nice 10 pointer. I met lee about 500 yards behind my house on my way home from hunting one day. He is hunting a property that used to feed into a property I hunted up until 5 years ago. After chatting for a bit I found out his wife went to high school with me. Lee has taken some great bucks off this property and has dealt with urban sprawl taking the local population from 150 to over 4500 people, thus deeming his hunting grounds all but ruined. Here are some pics of the deer head, he shot it at night and his friend butchered it before he was able to get any full body shots.
Congrats to him! I was just up there last week. Can hardly recognize my old hunting/trapping spots with all the developement. I even got lost on Randall Road because all the new stores confused me on where I was. Remember when the Kane County Fairgrounds were out in the country? I sure am glad I moved off to the boonies.
