I'm Andrew. I'm 19. I hunt, but thats about it, because I cant seem to kill anything.

After scouting a big piece I bowhunt, I found a good area, loaded with monster rubs and some scrapes. I hung a stand and put a camera near the rubs. I hunted the stand, no racked bucks, but it was like 400 degrees out when I was in there.

    So, the camera.....

Rubs got hit, no photos, which lead me to the obvious conclusion that this deer is invisible, so I moved the camera further from where I believe this deer to be bedding, thinking maybe I intruded a bit too much. I followed the trail towards the food field, placed the cam and didnt go back for a week.

Well, I get this picture and I dont know what to think of it.

Does it look like the body of a mature buck ? My brother say "possibly", I say yes, but he does have a lot more experience than I. The deer here are not hurting for food, if that means anything.

    Opinions ? Thanks.

To me it is. The first pic shows a low saggy belly. The second pic I can't make out as well.

    Thanks David.

I guess I will just have to go and hunt the stand he's heading right too. These photos were taken after 8:30am. I have plenty of time to slip in on him. Hopefully I get a better look or the NEWEST camera location snaps a photo of him.

I found a rub thats as big as my waist, with smaller rubs all around it. I placed the camera there. Thanks again.

I think I can make out a deer in all three of those pictures. But, then again, I've never been hunting, although I do live near a bunch of deer.

Edit: Upon closer examination of the third picture, I believe that there is a white tail. I would bet money that's a deer. :D

i slightly disagree w/ that being a mature buck's body, kind of a small rear end on the first picture...doesn't look too big to me, but i hope i'm wrong and you land a monster

Thanks everyone...I hope it is a mature buck, too. I will be hunting him one day this week. If the rubs and tract sizes are any indication, I may end up getting a shot at an absolute monster for my first buck.
