Glad I got signed in to this forum. I read about 10 minutes then I knew this would be a great fit for me.

I live in Portland, TN which is located on I 65 halfway between Nashville, TN and Bowling Green, KY. I am retired from state service and a dedicated bow hunter. I have been active for three years distributing Chinese Chestnuts and built my own greenhouse.

My main reason for becoming a user on this forum is I am a new shed dog owner. I got my first dog Jan 20, 2017. Scotty is a black male lab out of Brownstown, Indiana from the Jeff and Shannon Neals Kennel. He is trained and has competed in Hunt Test in Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky.

I got my 2nd dog in late June of 2017 and he is at a full time Dog Trainer getting his formal education.

If you hunt shed antlers with a dog or would like to train a dog to hunt shed antlers I would love to talk to you. I am not a trainer, nor am I interested in any $$. However, I am very interested in seeing this sport grow & to encourage people to try out Hunt Test for shed antlers. I participate at NASHDA events - North American Shed Hunting Dog Association.

We plant 6 antlers on a course about 50 -60 yards wide and 100-110 yards long. You dog has 15 minutes to retrieve all 6 to hand. It is fun and helps us learn how to train and to take our training serious. Truly a fun, family sport.

Guess that is more than enough.

Looking forward to enjoy this forum, content and members.

    Wayne
