I'm looking inot getting a new bow for 2012. I shot the Z7 Extreme earlier this year and really liked it. Are the new 2012 Z7's different from the 2011's? Might look into a Helim but most likely the Z7.

The Z7 itself hasn't changed since it was released. Same bow whether it's a 2009, 2010 or 2011 model.

The Z7 Xtreme came out in 2010 and is different from the original Z7 in that the bow is a bit shorter axle-to-axle, and has a longer brace height.

The Heli-M is new for 2012 and most similar to the original Z7 in basic specs. However, it is very different in that the riser and all components have been redesigned to make it much lighter and it also features a positive draw-stop now as well. That gives you the solid back wall that most archers love.

Whichever bow you decide to go with, you can't go wrong. :tu:

the regular Z7 and Z7 Extreme have not changed since being released. This year they came out with the Helim and from early signs it could end up being their best seller in recent years. The Helim has many small features added or changed to it. For one, they have added a draw stop to the cam, as well as redesigned the cam. The Helim is the smoothest bow I have ever laid my hands on. Those are the two biggest changes. There are many smaller ones. But to answer your original question, no they have not changed since being release. Go and shoot them, have some fun, and let the bow pick you. Good luck, you wont be disappointed with any of them.
