The stand does not look cheap. It is meant to compete with other aluminum stands that are completely welded with the same great features Lone Wolf is known for. Taller seat is more comfortable. @14lbs and just under $200 retail, this stand is going to be a great welcome among those who want to be light, portable, and still want a rugged stand!
Cute stand with the wolf built into the platform. I'm sure its a fine stand. Andre, the original owner of lone wolf is supposedly back into designing treestands, look forward to whats to come from him.
I bought my Assault 2 for $199 brand new 2 years ago from a local LW dealer. Sent from my GT-N5110 using Tapatalk
That's what most dealers sell them for. The new Alpha Tech has an MSRP of $199 but I would imagine most dealers sell them in the $180 range.
To me they are just what Muddy already has put out. Consumers wanted cheaper and I don't know that 40 bucks is what they means by cheaper. There are many stands that look just as good as this by other brands at as good or better of a price point. When consumers said cheaper they wanted a cheaper cast version. Not saying I won't buy one, but I sure won't replace my other aluminum or Muddy stands with this model. I'll stick with LW's cast stands.
Which is just a welded aluminum version of a Lone Wolf... All the aluminum stands I've seen with similar size platform that have offset/batwing brackets, platform leveling and seat leveling retail right in the $200 range. Unless there's something I don't know about? True, but that's not going to happen. The cost of materials and production is simply too high, which is why Leverage, Ameristep and all others coming out with cast stands are also selling them for $250. I'd like a cheaper SuperDuty with a PowerStroke in it. Crew cab, 6.5 ft bed, 4x4 off road package and I want it under 40K. Someone get Ford on the phone.
I dont get the its a "cheap" stand thing....its a different type of LW stand is all to me....a "cheap" stand as far as price and construction go is the 35 dollar guide gear hang ons from sportsman guide that I leave out and move year round for different reasons and animals....with lone wolf the quality is there across the line up they are built rock solid not cheap.....and...even at 199....the price surely isnt cheap....just me I guess Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk 2
I like my Muddy so if the market supported them then why not Lone Wolf with the same concept. Its probably a nice stand its just not the new technology I was hoping for. Justin your right on the cast stand manufacturing cost, however, its what the consumer HOPED for at a lower price point. Ultimately for 40 bucks more why wouldn't you just go the cast route which is what I'll continue to do. If you can spend 200 then why not 240 where as 150-240 is a different story imo.
