I just acquired this new lease and unfortunately I may not get back to the area it is in to scout it for awhile. The landowner informed me of what the crop rotation is this year and sent me Topo images. I would greatly appreciate any insight that you may have as to how I can best hunt this piece of property. Additionally, I merely want to see how others read the images compared to what I see when I analyze it.

The 120 acres is designated on the image in black. The red and blue lines designate the two areas I can access the property. Thanks for your help and I look forward to what everyone has to say!

Below are 2 links to provide a better survey of the property (However, you will still need to check out the image to identify property lines.)

From what I can tell, it looks like a nice piece of property. Do you have a larger image of the topo map you can post, it's hard to make out the lines o this one.

Just to the left of the area of dirt by the prairie, there is an area that appears to be cedars or at least some really thick stuff. I would think that they would like to bed there and head to the beans, especially early in the year or late in the year.

In the northwest corner next to the corn should be hot when the acorns start falling and/or the corn gets cut.

Thanks a lot everyone. I like that so far you all have been seeing what I've seen from looking at the Topo. My one concern is there is a road really close to the southernmost edge of the property where the beans are planted and the security level for deer there may not be too high.

Is there anything else that anyone can tell me from looking at these images about possible deer movement and stand locations?

Virginiashadow thanks a bunch and I appreciate the good luck. I was wondering though, what does the blue box indicate? Also, what was your reasoning for the middle 3 stand locations? Again thanks and I appreciate any additional posts to follow as well.

Dunn..1) these are just my thoughts and 2) I am an average bowhunter so take my thoughts as a grain of salt.
