I've had lots of luck hunting edges where the pines and hardwoods meet Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
My best advise is to get in there and look for sign and hang some cams. Try to locate the does. The bucks will be bachelored up and their patterns seem to change more dramatically come fall in my own experience but one thing keeps em coming back.... the senoritas. So yea, cams and boots on ground. What w1ckstar said does seem to hold true though. Transitional edges and natural funnels and draws. Good luck Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
plant some hidey holes in the more open areas and do some hinge cutting/TSI in the thicker ares to provide supreme bedding. then try some feather cutting to direct the deer traffic towards your hidey hole plots. may take a couple years to get a finished product and establish a prime hunting ground. but it looks pretty good as is.
You'd be better off looking at imaging that shows contour lines/streams/creeks and when the leaves come off. If your local DNR doesn't have this software available, Google maps should help. But right off the bat, looks like some clear soft edges I would follow and look for sign. Best of luck!
