Well, I didn't get either job I applied for. The school secretary position which I was quite interested in finally sent me a rejection letter. Never got one for college, so I now know how some felt, lol. I happened to get an interview to something completely different and was hired on spot. I start a week from Monday. I turned my notice in at work - but, have yet to hear a thing. This lovely place (cough) doesn't do phone calls...everything is done by e-mail. Honestly wont be surprised if I never hear anything. I told me coworker and the doctor as soon as I found out. So at least I got my basics covered here.

As for the job, still doing insurance billing, but for an ambulance service. More money, my own schedule (as long as it is 40 hrs/wk), and about three minutes from home. There were pros/cons - but I feel this will be better in the future. They want to train me to become the office manager, as the one they have currently is going part time the first of the year.

So thanks everyone for the advice in the past thread and the good lucks. It worked out, just a different road traveled.

Congrats. May not have worked out the way you had hoped, but maybe that's a good thing.

I think the main thing I liked about the school was summers off. I'll survive with being able to set my own schedule.

    Thanks!

Now I need to find a place to roll me current 401 into.

Congrats, sometime the things you want turn out to not be the best for you but the things you get are unexpected blessings.
