Just recently got permission on this piece of property. The main draw for me is that no one hunts in or around it. Especially with rifles as it too close to town. The green outline i believe would be bedding area its mostly long grass. The yellow is a big clover field and its roughly 600 yds at the longezt point. Blue lines are the streams that flow near the property and the red is my stand location. I've only had a camera out for less than a week but have a few does fairly steady on it. The only bad thought i have is that this property is more or less surrounded by roads even if it is a decent sized piece of property. Any advice or suggestions would be much appreciated.
It is tough jumping in during the season but the deer should feel safe with light pressure in and around the property, the deer are also used to the roads. I would start by scouting from a few fringe or observation stands to see where the deer are entering and exiting the fields. Also I would try some light recon missions to find some natural funnels, natural or man made pinch points, creek crossings old open gate crossings etc. Entry and exit routes are key and you could use the creek bottoms for possible entry and exit routes on the south end of property. How big is the property?
I would say its about 2 square miles give or take. There is alot of farm land around it as well probably 500 acres or so. I have been using the stream as my travel area it is a very old stand of woods surrounding the stream so it is quite open in that area so i have been trying to be stealthy.
I would put a stand on a deer runway inbetween the bedding and field but be careful walking in and walk in opposite of the bedding
Another thing that you may be able to do to help with entry and exit routes after you have a better understanding of this ground is ask some of the surrounding houses if you could possibly park in their yard or spare driveways. It looks like a great chunk of property with some awesome spots for potential food plots. I would wrap this one up as fast as you can. Where about are you located?

The field is clover this year but i believe the farmer said it will be corn next year. This will mostly be an observation season im guessing
