    Lots of Beginner Questions

Hello, I am looking to start some archery and have a few questions.

    1. The length of my arms from tip-to-tip is 71". So from what i have read, I need to divide that by 2.5. So, 71 divided 2.5 equals 28.4. So what size bow should I look for?

    2. Can some explain riser to me?

    3. Any recommendations?

    Thanks

Cabela's would be the closet thing to a pro shop around here. I dont know if I would trust them to coach me. Most of t hem are just out for a paycheck, that's why i joined here. To talk to people with experience!

Plus I'm looking more into recurves and longbows.

MAD, I know there are several traditional bow guys here. There is a forum on here specifically for that on the main page listing the different topic groups, those guys should really be able to help you out. I'd like to get a recurve eventually to learn that style.
