Hello all, new to the site and new to bowhunting. I have wanted to try it for years and I think I am going to this season. Been looking for a bow and found one and was wondering if it is a good deal. It is a 2003 PSE Thunderbolt 29" draw, Fiber Optics Sights, Keller Pendulum Sight, Game Tracker, extra rocky mount broad heads, whisker buscuit rest and limb savers. Not sure if I hacked the names up, but his price is $175. I look forward to reading all of the posts and learning as much as I can before the season starts. Thanks, Scott.
Don't think about it, just jump in and do it! You'll love it! You've come to a great place to learn......Welcome aboard.
Welcome! It's going to become an addiction. As for the bow, is this for sale through a pro shop or an individual?
as much money as I spend on archery stuff, it is still WAY cheaper than fishing and many other outdoor activities...
welcome to the site. im just starting out as well. and this site has been my best source to get the best info form a bunch of awesome ppl. welcome to the addiction.
Welcome aboard Good deal/bad deal? . . . If you learn to shoot and fall in love with it, it's a great deal! :d
WELCOME to a Great Site with Great People!!!!! As far as the bow,PSE makes a very good bow. But you should try as many as you can. When you get the right one in your hand you will know it. Work with your Pro Shop Tech to make sure it fits you right!!! GOOD LUCK!!!!!
Welcome in the VA, before you buy one just make sure you know what draw length and draw weight range you need to be in. It'll help you form good habits and form as well as being more comfortable to shoot!!!
Thanks guys for all of the information. I would like to go purchase the PSE I was talking about but I think I will wait and try as many as I can, I think that is good advice. I will keep you posted. Thanks, Scott.
You received good advice here already. The reason I asked about it being for sale from a proshop or individual...echoing what Dubbya stated, it's important to get a good fitting bow early on. Get to a proshop, have them fit you for a bow, get your DL dialed down, find a draw weight you're comfortable with, and pick up any other shot execution pointers you can along the way. You will also want to try a few bows out, as they essentially fit and feel different to different people. Get the one the fits YOU. Good luck!
