I'm not sure what to think about that ending. Still wondering what he was looking at when he got into the dome?
So that was good, but not great ending. It certainly wrapped up more neatly than I anticipated. The show was never about the case, but about how it affected Marty and Rust and their relationship. I thought for a second at the end that Rust was about to have a "come to Jesus" moment, which would have been pretty horrible. The vision on the dome was just that, one of his visions.
I'm indifferent about the finale... Worst episode out of the 8, but wrapped up things I'd thought would be left open so it wasn't a total loss.
What? I loved the ending. I thought it was great. I loved how Rust started to ascend and Marty starts to descend as a person. The whole Carcosa was just downright creepy. A whole lot of nopes for me. I wouldn't be following anybody into a place like that.
Haha my roommate and I were discussing that very thing. With that dude creepily calling stuff out to me taunting me to follow him in.... I'm posting up by the exit and sending Marty to call for backup. LOL I still liked the episode, just felt it was semi anticlimactic after how good the whole season had been overall (probably just had it built up in my head that it would finish with a Breaking Bad level finale and it didn't quite hit that mark).
What was up with the British accent? Didn't see that coming. Also, did I miss where they explained about Marty's daughters posing the nude barbies in the same fashion as was shown on the video? Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
I though it was a pretty good ending. way creepy! they did a good job of making you feel like you are actually there in person.
The real carcosa is called fort macomb in New Orleans. I really enjoyed the last show also so glad I have HBO GO on my i pad using the chrome cast on the big screen. Seen them all three times so far.
Bumping this to the top. Anyone watching season 2? Finally had time to watch the second episode and that was unexpected.
I started to watch the S2 E1 last night and the audio was out of sync. I grabbed a new download and I'm going to give it a go again tonight. I can say for certain that the intro, specifically the music isn't near as good as S1. Seem to get a slow start... Not as good as actors in this season IMO.... Trying to give it a chance.
Please start a 2 nd season thread it's all new cast, first show was slow going learning the new players, second show started slow and ended with a bang I must say. Got my attention . Show three coming soon
Yeah, God forbid, that would have ruined everything... <sarcasm>. Why you gotta hate? I just now found this thread, I was high-jacking another thread about season 2 where I was discussing my issues with the end of season 1, no one seemed interested to discuss. I thought the ending of season 1 was poorly done. It was way too simplistic, for them to be fooled for so long by an inbred hillbilly just didn't do the rest of the season justice. This season is just meh so far. Give or take, but I will watch it through since I started it.
