    hey im new here. im from south carolina just got into bow hunting this year i have killed one deer that i know of with a bow an i loved the rush. but this year i recently bought the mission maniac love it im shoot the pse x weave 300 with 100 grain montec broad heads i have shot 3 deer hunting a ten acre acorn grove red an white mix with a food plot runing down the edg and clear cut on every side with alot of undergrowth but i am haveing problems i shoot a deer stay in the stand for two hours or so an get down get my blood trial but i cant find them its like they bleed for two hundred yards or so then stop. i hate shooting them and not finding them. like i said befor im new to slinging sticks im open for any ideas with wat i could be doing wrong i wanna be a great bow hunter. thanks

    hey welcome to the site. Their blood is clotting and thats why the blood trail slows down. You really need to practice to make sure you are consistant when shooting. Also you wanna get pass throughs you might be hitting the deer too far back.

    i have been practicing from ten to 40 yards an im grouping very well 10 to 30 dead on 40 is a group the size of a dip can but 10 to 30 touching shafts. but i have been reading alot about hieght could that be making a difficultly with angles??? thanks

    Welcome to the forum! I'm glad your getting out and enjoying Bowhunting.

    A few questions for you. How sharp are your broadheads? How far of shots have you taken at these deer. What kind of shots have they been? (broadside, quartering away or towards, walking, etc.)

    the first one was quatered away from me at twenty. the second was broadside at 30. the third was faceing me at twenty. my broadheads are brand new out the pack the will shave hair. im thinking i might be hittin to high im sitting right around 25 feet mark where should i aim at ten twenty marks ? thanks
