I wanted to introduce myself. My name is Chris and I live in Jefferson City, Missouri. I am an average bowhunter trying get better. I hunt mainly public land but am getting permission for some private ground in Northeast MO next fall to supplement my spots. I have been on this website all of season and continually watched the forums. Everyone here is a wealth of knowledge and I appreciate the different commentary. Learned a lot from watching the posts so I thought I would learn more if I actually posted once in a while. This website has been great to keep me motivated, incredible deer being killed. I've just killed a doe and still looking for my buck. I haven't given up hope yet. Good to be here. Chris
Hi and welcome! I know another guy named Chris who lives in Jeff City. I think he registered on here. He's one of my bowfishing buds. So how's the real estate market out there? I'm thinking of moving to Mizzery.
Christine, if you have the money, you can be very picky. Noone can sell a house around here. What area are you looking at? Welcome Troutking another MO bowhunter added to the fold. Glad you decided to join.
Isiah, I'd love to show a photo of the doe but I don't know how to attach the photo to my post. Christine, The real estate market is soft but it is a good time to buy. John, I have been enjoying reading your posts and Blogs regarding your new farm. I have a goal to purchase 80 to 100 acres in Northern Missouri. It won't happen this year or next but possibly the following. I had questions on whether or not a guy can manage and hunt 80 acres effectively. Your farm sounds like it is working well and gives me motivation to purchase. How many stands do you have up? I presume you have a sanctuary set up where deer hold without pressure. Do you feel like it is tough to hunt all season without burning the place out? Thanks for everyones nice gestures.
Good luck with your goal. It's a lot of work, but a whole lot of fun too and very rewarding when you can harvest an animal off your own land.
