I got a Bear Grizzley Bear compound today super cheap, came with 4 Easton Gamegetter 2018 arrows and 3 no name arrows. I know this is nothing compared to the bows on the market today, but what should i look at to make sure its sound before shooting it? I dont' see any cracks in the limbs and the strings seem fine. It has a piece of neoprene running from the bow string to one of the other strings, I'm assuming its a silencer? Also, what does it cost to get arrow re-fletched and is it worth it to have done? Also I need an arrow rest and a release, what should i look for with them? Draw length is 30" and the Eastons are 29" I think, the no name are about 32" what is the proper length arrow? Last time I had a bow my reast was a piece of plastic with a tab stickin out and my release was my fingers with a piece of leather. What is a good site in distance, its a 55 lb bow. I have two sites on it now. I haven't shot a bow in probably 20 years but I am an avid pistol and rifle shooter.

My advise is to go to a bow shop n have them help you set it up and inspect the bow.
