Hey folks, the names Gary, Im from northeast PA where my family owns 80 acres to hunt on. I shoot a Pearson z34 and Ive ben shooting since I was 12 (im 20 now). Anyone else from PA?

I know exactly where that is. I belonged to a club that has a cabin on Hobday road. Is that where you do all your hunting?
No I do very little hunting in Pike co...I need to start though. Its always been a family vacation spot for us. This is the second cabin my family has had there and my second cousin has a cabin in there from his family since the 40s. I really do want to get into hunting there. A deer has never hung from out meat pole and we got the place to hunt from it, so someone needs to start. I hunt Bradford county and have a really good piece of privete land here, so its hard to leave that to go hunt some times crowded public land. But I really think it would be more fun there at times and think I could find a decent buck or 2 if I ever get the time to put in the work.
Yea its tough on public land. Most peoples philosophy is if its brown its down and they don't care how they do it. It can get a bit scary at times during the rife season. But now I have 80 private acres to begin to manage. Already got 2 pics of some good sized buck. (for PA anyway)
Yeah I wouldnt even try in rifle season. I pretty much only bowhunt anyway. Yes its so nice to have some land to work. Man post some pictures in the trailcam section...would love to see what you are hunting there. I have 2 different threads in there with bucks Im hunting, one in NY and one in PA.
Also would be cool to have another PA hunter in the 2012 deer contest! Check out the rules and see if its for you.
Bucks look great. And glad to see you signed up. They will pick teams in less then 2 weeks so keep your eye on that page. When you get put on a team have fun with it brother...its as fun as you make it. Its a good opportunity to get to know the guys and girls on here and learn a ton.
