I have some work to do yet but it's getting there - brushing it in better, etc. Had this idea last year of what if I elevated a ground blind six feet or so. Thought it would work well good for gun or bow in a certain spot in our woods behind our house. One in the middle of major dee trails (about 20-30 yards on each side.) So I put a platform together in the driveway and then chained it up and drug it about 600 feet into the woods. I managed to tip it up and into place with my wife driving the vehicle pulling while I pushed the platform up.

Who else has tried this? Any tips? I am putting carpet down too of course to dampen noise on the plywood floor. I used thin plywood strips to screw and anchor the skirt of the blind down to the platform. I also build a railing all the way around for safety.

Ha. Yes. If you see the basic ladder stand in the second picture you see my normal method of hunting. What excites me about this is I may run a Mr Heater in there in late November!

What I like is you could build more than one platform and move it around get the deer used to it being there are not there. A Mr heater is nice in NoDak too.
