I grew up in Indiana shooting a bow since I was about 8. Bowhunted whitetail from 10 y/o until I was about 20 y/o and then college, and work came along, and I moved/traveled a lot. My buddy has his Mathews Monster in my garage, and I have a groundhog problem and they are difficult to trap (me and 3 neighbors have been trying for over 2yrs). I picked up my buddy's bow and took one of the groundhogs out from about 20yds. This has rekindled the fire, and my wife is also interested in shooting also. So now it is off to find some bows as the last one I had was a High Country Sniper from the late 80's, early 90's that was my dad's that he handed down to me. So soon we will be going to a Pro Shop near us and getting fitted, and we have enough room to safely build a 40/45yd range. Jeremy
Welcome to the site Jeremy. Sounds like you got the fever again. Good to have you here with us on the best bowhunting forum on the web.
What part of TN? I was born in Waverly, and my grandparents still live there. I go back every year. Welcome!
welcome back to the addiction!! it just keeps getting better with age! that's great you have your life partner as a shooting partner too!!
Welcome to the site! Good luck with the bow search for you both! Let us know what you end up going with!
Thanks for the warm welcomes. I live just east of Nashville, between Nashville and Mt.Juliet. Found my draw length (28-28.5), 60lb was easy to pull, and shot a Mission Ballastic today. It was nice, but I would like to try a Bowtech sometime.Trying to stay under or around 1K for the package. Jeremy
I'm regretting not shooting any of the Mathews since I was at a Pro Shop that primairly deals in Mathews. I'll have to go back down and shoot a few. The Chill, and Creed are really sharp. Jeremy
