How's it going everyone, I've been hunting and shooting guns since I was little. I've always wanted to bow hunt but never had a bow or time, well my cousin gave me his bow when he got a new one so now I've got the chance to hunt an get some target shooting in. I've got all my deer hunting gear for rifle hunting but not sure if there are any special stuff I should look into getting that's more for bow hunting a rifle hunter wouldn't think about?

Welcome to the site. There is lots of knowledgable hunters here. They are always glad to help.

I use to live in MN. I spent 12 years in the NW corner and a little over a year on the iron range. I enjoyed my time in MN a lot.

Welcome to the site. As for your question I guess it really depends on what you have.

Makinen area. Gonna be trying to find spots around Duluth to bow hunt tho hoping I get good enough by September. An far as gear not much, I'm gonna buy some camo tho, since mine is orange. An the bow I got is complete set up my cousin was using it until last year so that's good just need more arrows. An gonna look for a climber. Jus wasn't sure if there's anything real special other than the bow set up, climber an camo.

Welcome aboard! I was just up in Duluth last weekend. 47 degrees, windy as all heck and the leaves are barely popping out of the trees. I don't know how you people live up there. :D

    Hope you enjoy the site.

Some of the best bowhunting in the Duluth area can be found inside city limits. They have a City hunt that you have to apply & qualify for. If I was still living there, I'd be hunting in town :tu:

My old house was in the "Pleasant View" area along the N edge of town. Had some great bucks literally in my back yard!
