Hi everybody. Tony here from South Lake Tahoe, CA. The 2017 archery season started the day before yesterday and I've been out in desolation wilderness hunting and camping overnight. Can anyone point me toward a thread or threads about the progress of hunters in zone D-5 here in California? If not, I'd love to start one and get the conversation going. It is truly majestic up here in the mountains of Lake Tahoe. The terrain is tough to hunt, but a lot of fun because of the work it takes. Are there any threads that you know of that include the South Lake Tahoe, CA area of D-5 or X-8?
Welcome from another Nor Cal hunter! I used to hunt D-5 a lot, Calaveras County, but have moved to D-4 now. I know there are some other CA hunters here but not sure how many. Message me and I'll help and chat the best I can. I haven't hunted much up near the Tahoe area. Mostly in the lower foothills. Still hot down here and not a lot of traffic during the day.
