Hey Everyone, We just launched our latest episode of Whitetails, Inc. – The Ghost of Johnny Rotten – Part 2. I felt bad for making you all wait to see the conclusion of this so we launched it a little early. Check it out and let us know what you think. www.whitetailsinc.com
Todd, it turned out a little different than what I thought. I thought you were going to smash JR when you were on your all day sit in the middle of that nasty stuff. This is real hunting in the real world. Love this stuff. What you guys are doing is great. I am truely looking forward to the hunt for him next year. I love deer that have history to go with them. I wish you the best of luck during this off season and finding his sheds. Will be ordering the new video as soon as possible. Keep up the great work!!
If you guys haven't checked out Todd's videos on WhitetailsInc.com, you really should. It's the real deal.
You can't say that Todd didn't try. That was a great effort. What amazed me the most were the aggressive moves he made and he was still getting encounters with Johnny. He had him pegged, but thats the way the cookie crumbles sometimes. Good luck to him next season. I'm looking foward to the sequal of Johnny Rotten. Awesome video!!!!
Todd, you put in ALOT of work man! Sometimes almost too much it seems. Although I still use treestands regularly, I have really started to adopt natural ground blinds for hunting. Get into an area you want, find a big tree, stack a little brush on one side or the other, and cut a couple lanes and your done. Have you ever considered that approach to hunt the same spots/trails but elimante all the work involved in putting up a treestand each time? Looking forward to the next episode!
Man, to be a solo-hunter again! he he he... With a cameraman, it's just far too difficult hunting from the ground unless you have a ground blind to completely contain your movement and communications. I actually have (2) ghost blinds that work freaking AWESOME in the summer when I'm out filming. Again though, when a cameraman is with me, we have to set up two locations and communicate through a wireless microphone. My cameraman can hear me, but I can't hear him. We've tried this set-up multiple times on field edges and what-not, but can never get a deer close enough for a bow shot! Thanks so much for watching guys. We'll keep making them if you keep watching them. The next episodes will get into the meat boys. The big buck encounters and best footage from 2010. We have some awesome stuff to share! Todder
really thought you were gonna get him, and tons of respect for the all day sit! no food is a tough one, not to mention the frequency to which you hunt, those days get long im sure. also cool to see you set up in a area that there is no way you are supposed to be in. sometimes we/others learn more from failures than victories. cant wait for the new WKP video!
I'm working on a source for claymore's right now! I'll have that place so rigged there won't be an animal or tree by shed season next year!
I seriously enjoyed watching both of those video's Todd. You show that there is definitely more to hunting than just hangin a stand in a tree. Good luck in the off season and I look forward to watching more video's from you in the future...
Wow, cool stuff. Hope you get him next year Todd, could really sense a little hostility and a lot of frustration with this buck, loved the part where you said "He's gonna kill me or i'm gonna kill him" maybe a no-holds barred Death Match is in order for next season. Good luck again and continue having fun with what you're doing, I'm sure it gets harder with the added pressure/stress of the filming and everything that goes along with it.
