Hey I was thinking about buying the new Dream Season Pro suit. The one with the wool liner and possibly a pair of boots. I currently have a the older Dream season suit and was wondering what anyone thought about them and if its worth it. Thanks

Well it's a nice suit. My personal opinion is I wouldn't buy it for the Carbon liner. I just don't believe that stuff works and is a total sham. But if you feel it helps you and you don't mind shelling out that cash then I could see you wanting to purchase it. The bottom line is you have to play the wind regardless of Garment you are wearing. So if I have to play wind why pay that kind of money for camo? Just my opinion.

I am still undecided on the carbon clothing. I have some with and without it. I am leaning towards Tribal's point of view regarding carbon the more I wear it.

I totally understand your guys point of views, but i fell slightly different on the carbon part. I dont think that it works 100% and they will never smell you with it on. I think it will either work or give you more time to get a shot off or not completely spook them from my experience. To make a long story short this last fall we had an east wind for 2 days in a row and i really wanted to hunt a stand i had because it was early season and i had a buck patterned there quite reguraly. But an east wind is absolutely the worst wind for that spot. I hunted it anyway and i had 15 deer come from directly down wind all around 20-30 yard to either side, well the boy showed up a lil outta range and the next night.....another east wind but he came well after shooting light and i was waiting for deer to filter across the field. and the whole time he was 25 yards but dark as hell out. and then after that i did see him until my grandpa shot him with the gun, 150" with 8" bases 14 points. so I do think it works to a point and feel it worth the money, granted you have to shower and do all the steps to be scent free

I can understand with that experience why you would think that. Now I have had same experiences with wind direction where during the hunt completely switched. Sticking it out I have had deer do the same exact thing. I know of people who do no scent control at all and are in the northern woods deer hunting where the deer only see people in November, again deer come right in. SO it does happen even without the scent control occasionally. Depends on the deer and chance I guess. IF they truely invent something where I don't EVER get winded. I will be the first in line with my hard earned cash. But from research, demonstrations, and observation even on these tv shows. I stand by my opinion that someone is trying to make money off us dedicated hunters who want the edge. Field tested doesn't cut it with me alone. I want the facts and research to make my conclusion as well.

Bottom line though, if you feel more confident with something thats the most important thing.

Carbon suits do work. But you must and I mean MUST take care of the suit and keep them as sent free as any other clothing. The biggest problem with the suits is maintaining them. I cannot go 4 days of hunting and not activate them. I usually reactivate my carbon every two days. It is hard to find a drier that is hot enough to activate the carbon. My drier at home has no problem activating the suit. When I am on a hunting trip most of the laundry mats driers are not hot enough to do the job.

I still play the wind and stay sent free. But as you all know sometimes that buck comes from downwind of you and that is were the Carbon suit pays off. I use the base layer carbon, so I can wear any camo pattern I want.

So you have my 2 cents.............LOL

Last year I tried on the jacket in the store, good movement, felt good on the sizing, pockets and such in a good locations, then I got to the ratcheting/adjustable wrist cuffs.....had to ask the wife to help get them tightened, maybe wouldn't be a big deal once you got used to them? but off the bat they were awkward.

If it was elastic, velcro, anything but those adjustable ratcheting straps......$300, maybe I am asking to much......dunno.....

i totally agree, you have to keep them as scent free as possible and i keep them in a tote going out hunting and i get dressed in the woods and undress b4 i leave so that i don't ride with them in my car or anything. i wash it every week and reactivate it every 2-3 days. i also wear the base layers with the dream season suit and spray down. thanks for the info wiaxle
