Looks great!! I remember when I was a kid going to the hunting cabin in Upstate NY....quite honestly those are the most readily accessible memories in my head...I hope the same thing for you and your family
We have a camper on the 10 acres right now. It just couldnt hold the heat well enough during gun season. Plus last winter being the hardest on record we couldnt stay up there at all last winter either. Campers dont work so great when its -30!!
Awesome! Every hunter dreams of having a place like that and being able to share that experience with others. Enjoy and dont forget the meat pole.
Good point. I don't really gun hunt, just bow. But that was my only real fear that I wouldn't be able to keep it warm enough.
Well we couldnt get the furnace to work so we just used electric heaters. If it was down around 0 outside or colder we could wake up to temps around 48-52 inside. Not bad for me since I like the cold but 60 would have been more comfortable.
Here is a little update. Not a whole lot has been done but we have the floor sealed and some of the wiring done. The grass I planted out front is doing great with the 9"+ of rain we have had in the last 4 weeks. I planted some Antler King sample food plot seed too but with the super sandy very low ph soil not much of that is growing. Just no time to lime anything.
