So, I need a new deer call. I bought a Flextone Buck Rage Plus early this season, practiced with it, and I like it enough. But somewhere along the line of me exiting or entering the woods, the part that you actually put your mouth on to make the call into the reeds came off, and now my new call is useless. With the rut coming up quick I want to get a new one. Like I said, I liked the Flextone, but if it's going to come apart and lose parts, it's not worth buying another one. I considered buying one of those Primo Cans... Can you guys make some suggestions? What have you been happy with?
I have the flextone bone collector. I hate the way the buck grunts sound. I bought it basically for a snort wheeze call. the bad thing is the snort wheeze end has a detachable thingy that absolutely drives me crazy. my main call is just an old fashioined primos grunt call and a bleat can. I'm not too happy with the flextone.
I love my Primos buck roar and I think alot of guys on here will agree its one of the best calls on the market if not the best Add a Primos estrus can and that a recipe for a dead deer. I wanna try the extinguisher deer call it looks like a real winner
Stratton game calls U.S. made and michigan made. Dean the owner is an awesome guy and they have excellent costumer service! He actually builds his calls with his pet deer, yes pet deer haha. Not a ranch but actual deer he has as pets. I use his calls and they sound hundred times better than those plastic ones
Done. Done. and Done. American Made and a Michigander? I'm in. How do I get one? Website? Where's he located? Are their any local stores that carry them? I'd like to get one before the weekend.
You can get every call except the snort and wheeze but what I really like about it is the the different tones it makes with just a slide of the thumb. Ill try it next year I know the buck roar works so if it isnt broken im not fixing it lol
I couldn't find my grunt tube this year so I got the MAD's Hyper Growl. I like how it sounds a lot. you can get a lot of inflection out of it.
He's not out of business, deans an older guy that isn't up to date with technology. Franks great outdoors Carey's them and northwoods outlet does as well both stores in pinconning, MI where dean is from. I do believe jays sporting goods Carey's them as well.
I have an extinguisher call. It's kinda lame IMO. The fawn bleat has called in yotes before, so its in my predator call box now. I've had mine for probably 6 years and had no luck with it.
