New decoy setup

    Trying out some real feathers on my decoys. I purchased the hen all dressed up on ebay last season and it looks great. Decided to try the same on my Jake. I think it might make the Jake look too big...? decoy2.jpg decoys1.jpg

    I hear If you have your dog in the middle of them them big ol' Toms love that. They'll come running in:lol:
    But I think that the Jake isn't too big. You'll be alright

    That is not a jake tail fan. Middle 4 or 5 feathers would be longer. Makes a difference in my opinion. I think he looks good except for the tail. I used to use mounted birds for dekes and found them to be too much of a pain to haul around and keep looking good. I have had just as good of luck with Avian X dekes. So much easier.
