The neighbor where we hunt says the same thing. He said if he can get 2012 Red 40 over the 2013 he will do it 10/10. The picture quality between the two is a pretty substantial difference IMO.

Personally I thought the 2012's took better pics.

I run my 2013's on 5 or 8 MP and the picture quality is great

In my opinion when set on 12 MP the light sensors have a few issues. Too much light or not enough.

From the pictures I have see from him the 2012 are a lot better at night from the 2013. I don't know if it is because the Megapixels or what but if you won't some examples I can surely upload them tonight. Same with the MP6

Is it the same with the MP6? The MP6's are cheap right now and I am curious.

Is it the same sensor size between the two (the CMOS not the PIR)?

I'm fairly certain Covert is coming out with a white-flash camera that uses LEDs for the flash. This feature would enable it to do color night time videos. Just a guess on my part.

I can vouch for this. My mp6 takes the best pictures out of any camera in the Covert lineup IMO (And i own them all).

The more I look at the daylight pics from a Covert, the more I realize they are actually much better than the Cuddeback pics! I gotta git me some. :tu:

Do the Coverts have any kind of security options? One of my Cuddebacks (forget the model) used to have a nice security cable/lock system, then they did away with it.

Awesome pics Caleb. They look like they're from one of those "home brew" cams!
