Saban took LSU places that no one had done in about 40 years. Miles has simply continued what Saban started. I'm glad everyone up there in Buckeye/Wolverine land think Miles is a genius.
I don't think he's a genius, but he's better than what Michigan had. The bar is pretty low right now.
I know that hurt...speaking of Saint Nick that way. How can you guys run a coach out of town who just won 11 games for the 4th time in 6 years. Do I think he is a jackleg with a lucky horse shoe up his arse...well yeah, but that is what I always want in my teams coach.
Same as my thoughts. I do know that Les Miles wins ball games, a good amount of them in a very tough conference... But so does Saban, he didn't do squat when he was at MSU.
I thought saban turned them around as well, making him the hot commodity that got him to LSU...I am infamiliar with the situation so go easy on me.
I think thats a little harsh. He finished 10 games over .500 in 5 seasons, including a 9-2 season. Thats pretty good at State. He beat the buckeyes twice. I still remember watching the '98 game at our hunting cabin. One of those rare games that I rooted for the sparties.
The qb of that game, Bill Burke was my high school qb. Good for him, bad for tOSU. Beating tOSU in the cooper years wasn't such a big deal. Ask Lloyd Carr. How many conference championships did he win at MSU?
Zero, but considering the school/program, what he did in his time there wasn't exactly "squat". Sparty nation is still whining about him leaving.
