Maybe you guys should try to poach another Ohio man like Bo S. was to run your program.

I just read that Joe Schad of ESPN is reporting that Miles will talk/interview with Michigan.

WOW, that would be something right now...especially coming off their 4th 11 win season in 6 years...

I know I know, he had 2 of those and a NC with Saint Nicks players, but he is still an OK guy:ninja:

If he leaves it will be official, Michigan only wants "Michigan" men running the program reagrdless of potential, direction etc...that is not a knock or anything of the sort, just the truth. Why the hell would Les leave now???

I'm wondering.....who would UM fans/boosters be happy with (at least in the interim)?

To an outsider.....it appears ya'll just like to ***** about coaches. I'm not sure there's anyone out there that would make you happy.

Here is where it gets funky and why I am not a Carr fan. MI now has 3 distinct factions.

BO-Faction Those who are loyal to BO and want a BO Michigan guy for a coach(Les Miles)

Carr-Faction Since Carr "won" the NC in 97 he thinks one of his boys should get the job. He has been absent for 3 years now. This is why you hear Hokes name come up.

Third faction are those of us who just want a solid coach. R-rod was a solid coach who was treated like dirt at MI, the guy to the end was fighting for his job.

Harbaugh would have pleased most fans, but Carr screwed the pouch on that one in 2002.

    Again, Gary....outsider looking in.

IMO, it's like a rich, ugly millionaire dude.....sitting there looking at photos of Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, etc.......thinking that's his dating pool.

What he needs to do is be looking for someone who'll actually go out with him.

In other words....Ya'll's boosters????? I'd like to buy 'em for what they're worth...and sell 'em for what they think they're worth.

    Outsider looking in.

The booster at MI are the worst, SOB I worked for one of the top MI boosters for 4 years.

I like the coach out of Houston, Kevin Sumlin, I think he's a great young coach.

Please don't take what I said as a slam on UM football. I just don't think you guys are as prominent as you once were (and some still think you are). And, treating coaches the way you guys have lately......ain't helping.

I agree, I hated the way RRod was treated, from the start he was not given a fair shake.

I often felt he never had a chance, and then Prior went to tOSU and his fate was sealed. Probably outlandish on my part, but I almost felt his hiring was more about keeping TP away from tOSU than it was getting him to Michigan.

R-Rod recruited a better QB then TP the next year. TP is nothing more then a punk and his actions have proved it.

I can see that, but coming out of HS he was labeled as the truth and everyone wanted him. I just think bringing the spread to Michgan was the best way to keep tOSU from getting him.

Carr won them a championship and was competitive in the Big 10 and on the National stage. They ran him out of town.

They set RR up for failure by hiring him,(he just was not a fit in the Big 10) then ran hin out of town.

I do however think Jeff underestimates the power of UM, I bet they can pull most coaches that they are interested in to them. I think Harbaugh was more the exception than the rule.
