Well after about 3 months building bows at Mathews I got a different job offer. You could say it's my dream job. Only hitch it involves moving to Kentucky. I will be working at DLC Covert trail cameras and will be taking care of warranty cameras and customer service. Also it will involve product testing and product development. I can't pass up the opportunity to get on board with a fast growing company. The good news is the Mrs can still work with the same company where she has been for 20+ years but from our new home. Now to get our house here sold. We are taking an extended weekend June 1 2 3 to go house hunting down there. I also need to locate some land to buy or lease. Lots of puzzle pieces to put together they are short handed now and busy and would like me there ASAP ! So my 2012 deer season could be a challenging one. But season opens there Sept 1 and I have always wanted a big buck in velvet mounted on my wall. Challenge excepted ! I still plan on a return trip to WI the 1st week of November !
WOW, that will be a big change. Good luck Pat. Have you ever lived in that part of the country before?
Congrats Pat I know you really wanted every thing to work out and I am glad it did. I know Tony and I will miss meeting up with you at the steak buffet and I will definitely miss your help at my lease.
Wow! Congrats! Not everyday you get a chance at your "dream job"...can't pass that up. Best of luck to you!!
John I have lived in WI all my life. Parker we will be in the Lewisburg area. Jason I paddle faster when I hear banjo music.
I have friends in Bowling Green and have turkey hunted a few times in that end of the state. That's the wrong end of the state to be fearing banjos. I do know there is excellent deer and turkey hunting in that area. You aren't too far from lbl and some other good lakes if you like fishing.
Oh, if you go for a velvet buck in September jorts, crocs and a cut off teeshirt is the only way to role because it will be 98 degrees on the stand, and you will fit in with the locals better...
I do like to fish and was down turkey hunting earlier this spring and there were plenty around. I do believe Logan county is #1 in KY for deer so I should be in good shape !
Kentucky lake is crappie fishing mecca, and some of the nicest people and places i have ever been. good luck Land between the lakes is a great area to live close to also.
I am stationed at Ft. Campbell which is only about an 45mins to an hour away......Might have to try and link up with you when I get back from this deployment in July....
