My sons birthday is next week and he's been asking for a video camera. Not sure what a 9 year old needs a camera for but it works out well for me. Rather than buying a $50 piece of garbage I purchased a Canon r500 for him. I will be borrowing his camera some next season to film a few hunts. I realize the low light capability of this model isn't the greatest but I'm not real concerned, it's just something different to try. Does anybody have a suggestion on a camera arm that isnt real expensive but not junk?

Lone Wolf Strong Arm...I have a Manfrotto Fluid head on it with another added extension for my Canon HFR400 (Similar Camera I believe) and it works great...fast, easy, and quite!

Check out the muddy camera arms. They are made very strong, and easy to set up. I think I use the Outfitter arm, but you will have to buy a fluid head separate. I have a cheaper Gorilla camera are that I paid about 40 bucks for that works, but just not as easy to use. You would be welcome to use that arm and try it out, because I no longer use it. It has every thing on it ready to go, just add the camera to it. Just PM me if you want to try it out.

Thanks Holt, I will let you know if i haven't bought something before next year. I'm done for this year more or less. I was looking at an arm by ThirdArm, looks like a decent product and has a fluid head with it for like $150. I've got time to do some research before I pick one though.
