Well, I got a new little spot to hunt whitetails this year, its never been hunted before that I know of. So, did some scouting last Thursday and walked around a bit, looked for some trails and some tracks etc. Checked out some areas that would funnel the deer and set up next to a pea field. I think I did ok "guessing" where they'd be. Got a couple of pics in the first few days....just put out some mineral and oats today...we'll see if that starts getting them in a little more consistently. Check out the pics....couple little guys and what I figure is a big bodied deer (night photo) compared to the other ones but its head is buried in the weeds and its hard to tell exactly what it is.....lol. I put out my stuff today and won't be back to check the cam until July 9th....hopefully the oat's don't run out by then - but they probably will, or at least that would be a good problem to have!

Are you using the Cover 3.0 camera? If you are, how do you like it?

    Thanks.

Here's a couple of updates from the trail cam location I have that's new. Looks like the salt/oats is doing their job and is bringing in a few deer. The larger buck only comes in every 4-5 days...hopefully that frequency will increase. The couple of "does" come in every night at the same time and have come back a few times in the morning. The little spiker just showed up the past couple of days and is coming in in broad daylight...multiple times in the day...doubt that'll continue. lol

    Check it out...

Man, its been a while since I added some photos, whoops!!

5x5 is growing a bit, and there's a lot of pressure in this zone - he's turning out quite nice so if he walks out in daylight some time during the rut, I'll probably send an arrow at him! Little non-typical spiker hasn't been seen in a while.....
