Honestly, I have been really happy with my Wildview IR cam. Extremely simple to use. Very inexpensive. Takes pretty freakin good photos both day and night, as well.

I've also use the Moultrie I40, as they were one of our sponsors. With that said, and the amount of cameras I generally employ each season- it's more cost effective for me to use the Wildview.

So, if discounts were not in the picture- I'd go with the Wildview. It does the job, without breaking the bank.

Reconyx RC60... great unit but pricey. Battery life and trigger speed can't be beat by any other camera on the market.

    Moultrie I40

It takes AWESOME daytime pics and pretty good nighttime pics.

The battery life is the best part though. It will last for months on one set of batteries.

I also use the I40. I have had them out since the first of July, I checked them yesterday and still had 75-85% battery life left, not to mention how great the pictures turn out! I dont have one negative thing to say about them.

I have read that 1-40's still have high rates of being defective and what not. Really I just need a camera that performs like a Reconyx for under $300
